Roland Garza Hernandez, born on October 4, 1952 in San Antonio, TX, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2014 at the age of 61. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe P. Hernandez, and his brother, Harry Hernandez. He is survived by his mother, Adela Garza Hernandez; son, Roland Hernandez, Jr.; daughters, Veronica Hernandez and Maricela Hernandez; companion, Irma Martinez; sisters, Sandra H. Ortiz, Brenda H. Trevino; brother, Michael Hernandez; uncle, Jesse Garza; aunts, Josie Garza, Patsy Chavez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, fishing, playing with his children, and his dog Brownie. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No.2. Arrangements under the direction of Trevino Funeral Home.
