He was born to Arnold & Magdalene on August 16, 1946, in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating from Azusa high school, Roger joined the air force and served in Altus, Oklahoma as a cook. While on leave he met his beautiful wife Cynthia Frieda who celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Roger loved playing golf, making his own wine and beer, as well as taking care of bees and making and selling local honey.
He is survived by his lovely spouse Cynthia Frieda, Son Stephen Frieda (Dawn); Grand-children Kayla Escobedo (Aryn); Koby Frieda (Sarah); Kylar Frieda (Fiancee Calista); Great-Grand Children Ryder & Kashton Frieda.
The Viewing will be held on Monday, September 18th, 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held Tuesday, September 19th at 11:30 AM. Graveside Service will be at Fort Sam Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Food and Fellowship will be held at Brookhill Baptist Church 631 Utopia Lane following the graveside.
