Roberta Easley Remmert

Bobbie Jean was born on December 19, 1921 in Fordyce, Arkansas to Fred Oscar and LuLu Belle Holliday Easley. She is preceded in death by her parents and her seven brothers and sisters. From all accounts, life in the lush piney woods of Arkansas was idyllic and Bobbie spoke of it often.

Bobbie Jean attended Arkansas A&M at Monticello for one year. She charmed us all from childhood on with her beautiful smile, sense of humor and fun loving personality. A huge void exists in the Easley and Remmert families and we will miss her dearly.

Bobbie Jean is survived by her doting husband of almost 64 years, Erwin A Remmert. She saw the world as an Air Force officer's wife on tours to Brazil, Japan and Tripoli, Libya, and stateside to Washington, D.C. and Randolph AFB, and many other places with Erwin.

After Lt. Col. Remmert, "Papaw", retired in 1962 from the USAF, Bobbie Jean and Erwin settled in San Antonio, Texas where they raised four children and have resided ever since. Mamaw deeply loved her family and was always quick to tell them how special they were to her.

Mamaw is survived by her three sons and their wives, Robert Pete and Christine Remmert of San Antonio, Travy and Cheryl Remmert of Boerne, and Fred and Theresa Remmert of Austin. Mamaw is also survived by her daughter, Melissa Wittman and husband, Bob, of San Antonio. Her adoring grand and great grandchildren are Camille Di Maio and husband, Rob and their children, Claire, Gina and Mary Teresa; Paul Remmert and wife, Sarah and their baby, Ashley, all of San Antonio; Cathy Remmert of New York City; Gracie and James Wittman of San Antonio; Tyler, Chloe and Audrey Remmert of Boerne; and Sam, Lily and Noah Remmert of Austin. Bobbie Jean is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Burke and Lucille Martin, of San Antonio and numerous nieces and nephews and life long friends who adored her.
