Robert Anthony Serna

Robert Anthony Serna, beloved father and grandfather was born to Amelia M. Serna and Humberto Serna on April 13, 1962 and went to be with the lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021. He was 59 years old. Robert was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, baseball and Wrestling. He believed in his faith as a Catholic and wanted to serve our lord. He attended countless concerts in his lifetime as he enjoyed Rock and Tejano music. He worked for Central Freight Lines for 25 years and made numerous lifelong friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Amelia Serna and brother Steve Serna. He is survived by his son Robert A. Serna Jr (Fiancé Kendra Swyers) and daughter Melissa A. Serna. In addition to his children, Robert is mourned by his beautiful, adventurous granddaughter Siri A. Garcia, his brother San Juan (Johnny) Gonzalez, stepchildren George A. Valdez (wife Denise M. Valdez), Laura M. Valdez and his ex-wife Augustina (Tina) Serna. Robert also leaves many cousins who had a constant presence in his life.

A rosary for Robert will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A mass of the resurrection will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 617 S. Santa Rosa Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78204. An interment will occur Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78226.
