Robert Lawrence Scott

Robert L. Scott, 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, a respected businessman, and a Christian. He was born on January 19, 1944 in San Antonio, TX and was one of eleven children born to Carlie and Mattie Scott, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Tommy Scott, Angel Scott, Ida Mae Davis, Carlie Scott, Jr., Marjorie Stange, Dorothy Culbreth, and Martha Trigg; and grandson Marshall Scott Pope. He is survived by his loving wife Susan P. Scott; children Robert L. Scott, Jr (Rochelle), Kimberly Scott Pope (Chris), and Stacy Scott Byrd (Kelley); grandchildren Lauren Ann Noel' Taylor, Brenden Marshall Pope, Courtney Elizabeth Pope, Delaney Susannah Scott, and Rose Lilliannah Scott; great grandchild Jaxson Taylor Boss; siblings Littleton Scott (Karen), Richard Scott (Dolores), and Jane Pehl (Michael); numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Bob was a devoted and proud husband, father and grandfather. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1962, attended Southwest Texas State University, and served in the Texas National Guard and Army Reserve. He was an entrepreneur at heart serving in the Finance industry for over 40 years. Most importantly, Bob's Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He loved the Lord and his family and he will be greatly missed.

Graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11am at Sunset Memorial Park, San Antonio, TX.
