“Bob,” as many of his family and friends called him, was extremely hardworking and intelligent. He dedicated his life to service, first as a military intelligence pilot in the United States Army, and later as a contracts administrator for the City of Sierra Vista, AZ. The city honored him as employee of the year two years in a row. He also found time to serve God and the church as a worship leader with Calvary Chapel. He earned a Master’s Degree in public administration, and later a Biblical studies degree from Calvary Chapel Bible College.
Bob played guitar and banjo with his high school folk band, the Merrymen. He loved building and flying model airplanes, working on woodworking projects, and target shooting. He also enjoyed studying the Bible with his friends the ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Eating Out). What brought Bob the greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved doing crossword puzzles and going to movies with Lyne, his wife and high school sweetheart. He relished reading and playing games with his wonderful grandchildren.
He leaves behind his beautiful wife Lyne, his children Brent and Britta, his grandchildren Kailyn, AJ, Hannah and Olivia, and his sister Mary. All will continue to cherish their memories of Bob.
He has now reunited with his parents Eleanor and Milton and his brother Tom, and lives in the presence of his God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
