Robert was born in Antigo, Wisconsin to Bert and Wilhelmina (Wolter) House. He married Fleurette Gross in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Concordia Teachers College, River Forest, Illinois. He was a commissioned minister in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, serving as teacher, DCE, and principal for over forty years. He served congregations in the Southern, Michigan, and Texas Districts, as well as on district boards of education and missions.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice House Berner.
Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years Fleurette, children James (Heather) House, Barbara (Doug) Urban, Nancy (Jason) Ingram, and David (Karen) House, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in San Antonio.
Memorials may be given to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School.
