Robert was born in San Antonio to Norman and Maricela Hawes on September 7, 1966. He went to school at Robert E. Lee High School of San Antonio, Texas. He married Hsin-Tung Hawes on August 3, 2013, in San Antonio. He graduated from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He worked as a Certified Arborist for TruGreen for 32 years. As well as owning his own tree and landscape business, A Cutt Above the Rest Tree and Landscape Service.
Robert is preceded in death by Norman Hawes his father.
Robert is survived by his wife: Hsin-Tung Hawes, his 3 sons: Robert E Hawes Jr, Roman Hawes and his wife, and Randy Hawes, his brothers: George Hawes and Norman Hawes, his mother: Maricela Hawes-Salazar, and his 4 grandchildren: Isabella (12), Autumn (10), Bentley (3) and Leo (2).
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at St. Leo’s the Great Catholic Church, 4415 S. Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78214, with the Father Antonio Gonzalez officiating.
