Col. Robert C. Hammerle, age 91, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in Boerne, Texas. He was born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, to Helen (Perkins) and Clarence Hammerle. He was married on Mar 21,1953 to Marjorie Jane Hughes. He retired from his career as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Marjorie J. Hammerle; and brother, Jim Hammerle. He is survived by sons, Jay Hammerle and Matt Hammerle; grandsons, Scott Hammerle and Clayton Hammerle; granddaughter, Emily Hammerle; and brother, David Hammerle. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
