Robert Garcia Gallegos passed away on September 2, 2020 at the age of 82 in San Antonio, Texas. Born in Charlotte, Texas on August 3, 1938, he is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelo Gallegos and Manuela Garcia Gallegos; and his daughter-in-law, Rose L. Gallegos.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Rosie M. Gallegos; his children, Robert A. Gallegos (Elizabeth), Edward Gallegos (+Rose) and Richard Gallegos (Amanda); his grandchildren, Lauren, Alexandrah, Marissa, Robert III, Richard Jr., Brandon, Brianna and Justin; his great-grandchildren, Aaron, Milah, Izabelah and Taylor Rose; his 9 brothers and sisters; and his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved him.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation at Funeraria del Angel Trevino – 226 Cupples Road 78237 – will be limited to only 50 people in the building. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times.
The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Monday, September 21 from 6 PM to 9 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A Procession will depart at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 22 and arrive at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church – 1147 Cupples Rd. 78226 – for a Mass at 10:30 AM. The Burial at San Fernando Cemetery III – 1735 Cupples Rd. 78226 – will follow.
