Robert Louis Dalley

Retired Airforce SMSGT, Robert (Bob) Louis Dalley, born on December 13, 1928 in Montpelier, Vermont was called home to be with the Lord, on August 8, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 87. Bob served over 20 years with the Air Force as an airplane mechanic retiring to San Antonio. He then worked in San Antonio with the Swearingen Aviation Corp and Dee Howard Company as an airplane mechanic and electrician. In his leisure time, Bob liked to work on cars. He is preceded in death by his parents Winfield Scott Dalley and Helen (Phillips) Dalley, four brothers Winfield, Phillip, Clayton, and Neilan. Robert is survived by his loving wife Sue Dalley of 57 years, his children; Sonia Peck (Kevin) and their two children Daniel and Tonya; Steven Dalley (Jackie) and their six children Megan, Daniel, David, Jonathan, Bailey, and Jacob; Susan Dalley and her daughter Jada. He is survived by sisters Reba Bouchie and Pat Dimmick and brother Eugene Dalley. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, August 18, 2016 after a 9:30 a.m. Chapel Service with Military Honors and Interment to follow at 11:15 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or The National Kidney Foundation.
