Rita Peña, a loving wife, a mother of six, a grandmother, and a great grandmother, has left all of them, along with many friends, with heavy hearts, but with many wonderful memories. She passed away peacefully on November 4, 2023, at BAMC surrounded with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband David G. Peña , sons David G. Pena Jr, Joe Daniel Castillo, her sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Peña, Dorothy Rios, Donald Peña, and Ronald Peña. Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
Rita enjoyed dancing, eating out, spending time with her family and friends, and Bingo. She was an Guadalupana at St. Stephens Church also in several councils,and served as a P.T.A president. Lifetime member of VFW # 9174.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Victor Valdez officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
