Rita Colon

Rita Colon, beloved mother and grandmother, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the age of 81. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 22, 1931. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Saturnino Colon; son, David Colon and his wife, Frances; daughter Patricia Herrera and her husband, Richard; grandchildren, Richard Herrera Jr., David Colon Jr., and Megan-Ashley Herrera; sister, Ester Perez and her husband Adam; and numerous nieces, nephews. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers on Monday, July 2, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2619 Perez Street (78207).
