Riley “Ray” (Tinny) Taylor of San Antonio, TX passed away on 08/18/14. Born on 03/26/1937, he was the 11th of 12 children born to John and Carrie Taylor in Barton, AR. He spent 10 years in the Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sargent in May, 1966. While in the service he spent time in Japan, Korea, Spain and Germany. After his discharge he spent his remaining years working as a carpenter. He created some beautiful work from scratch and also enjoyed refurbishing antiques…it was his passion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his pets and old war movies. He was active in his church and loved his country.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ann Baros from Victoria, TX. He is survived by his wife, Myra Eilenberg; son, Michael Taylor; daughter Krystal Ross and husband Bubba Ross; grandchildren, Dylan Baros, Daryan Baros and Rachel Wallace.
Memorial service will be on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 10:00 at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church with reception to follow. Interment will be 2:00 that afternoon at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
