Richard R. Ibarra, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept. 16, 2017. Richard was born in San Antonio, Texas on Sept. 3rd, 1937. He graduated from Sydney Lanier High, he was in the army & then he retired from the army then became a chef @ the Gunter hotel. After that he worked at the Baptist hospital for 25 years. I wish to thank Buena Vida nursing and rehab for their wonderful way of caring for Richard.
Richard is survived by his wife Patricia G. Rios, sons Richard Ibarra Jr, Thomas Rios (Susana), Adopted sons George Hinojosa (Becky), John Hinojosa, Daughter Rachael Caldwell (Robert). He was proud of having five generations.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday Sept. 27, 2017 5-9pm with Rosary at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday Sept. 28, 2017 at 9:30am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery.
