Richard Lee Beasley

Richard Lee Beasley, 68, went to be with his Lord on December 21, 2017.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Thurman and Frances Beasley on March 7, 1949.  His joys were BBQ’n, hunting and fishing with his buddies and he loved his dogs, Big Boy and Lady.  He loved his job at Southwest Research Institute where he worked for 8 years.  He left there and went to Omega Point/Intertek Laboratories, where he retired after 25 years.  He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and brother.  He is survived by his daughter: Angela D. Cantu (Michael); grandson: Isaac M. Cantu; siblings: Betty Greenhaw, Doris Krause, Shirley Massey (Jimmy), Carol Smallwood (Garland), Elaine Ethington, Frank Beasley (Cathy), Pauline Frisch (Mike); half-brother: Herb Carlson (Nina).  Numerous Nephews and Nieces.  A special thanks to Tammy Massey who took care of Richard in the last year of his life.  Visitation will be December 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Roy Akers Funeral Home 515, N. Main Ave.  The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Roy Akers, with Interment to follow at San Jose Mission Burial Park.
