Rene L. Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas, passed away at the age of 59 on July 11, 2022. He was born on September 20, 1962 to Henry G. and Lucila L. Rodriguez.
Rene graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1981 and was an avid athlete. He was a quarterback of the football team and both pitcher and shortstop on the baseball team. He would go on to enjoy all sports including NASCAR. He also loved to listen to country music.
In his early career he was a manager with Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant. He spent the rest of his career with Texas Pride BBQ.
Rene loved life and never met a stranger, he was a kind friend to all.
He is preceded in death by his father Henry Rodriguez, his brother Rick Rodriguez, and his sister Patricia Arevalo.
He is survived by his mother Lucila Rodriguez, his son Kory Rodriguez, his brother, Ernesto Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez, and Hector Rodriguez and numerous nieces and nephews.
