Rebecca M. Rodriguez, 88, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 27, 2018. Rebecca was born in Floresville, Texas on April 26, 1930 to Pedro and Trinidad Munoz. She loved to watch her favorite sports teams, the Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys, and she always knew when they would play because her sister Louisa would call to remind her. She loved to travel, going to Vegas, and Mexico and different places with Janie and Leonard (friends for over 50 years), as well as hanging out with her crew. She raised 7 children, putting them all through Catholic School, loved family gatherings, and listening to her husband Manuel sing and play music. She was a breast cancer survivor and survived an aneurysm which left her in a coma for 3 months. She was an avid Bunco player often winning at family Bunco night. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Beatrice Martinez, Martha Davila, and Enriqueta Munoz; husband: Manuel S. Rodriguez; Mother –In-Law and Father-In-Law: Agueda and Pedro Rodriguez; sister-in-law: Josefina Munoz; daughter-in-law: Rosario J. Rodriguez; niece: Debbie Castaneda. She is survived by her children: Richard M. Rodriguez and girlfriend Irma; Rodney M. Rodriguez and wife Kathy, Linda R. Puente, Robert M. Rodriguez, Roland M. Rodriguez, Roberta A. Molina, and Juanita R. Cordero and husband Hector; grandchildren: Anna and husband Mike, Audrey and boyfriend Eric, Justin, Rebecca and fiancée David, Tara-Lyn, Azanette and boyfriend Richard, Robert Jr. and wife Olinda, Michael John, Raquel and husband Billy, and Amanda; great-grandchildren: James, Dominic, Marcus, Briana, Branden, Gunnar, Anthony, Aidan, Mia Lynn, Zayd, Jacob, Gabriel, Emily Rosario, Ryan, Evelyn, Ezekiel, Arya, Brennen, Anthony P.; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 1314 Fair Ave., with interment to follow at San Fernando II.
