Raymond Sanchez

Loving husband, father and grandfather, Raymond Sanchez went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2012, at the age of 62. He was born in Big Springs, Texas to Ambrosio and Elvera Palomino Sanchez on March 9, 1950. Raymond served his country for 20 years in the United States Army with honor, dignity and pride as a Staff Sergeant. His military career included assignments in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Army and went to work in the field of Social Services. He is preceded in death by his father, brother, Noel and daughter, Pamela Ann. His memory will be cherished by his family, wife, Maria of 42 years, sons, Raymond Jr. and wife Ellie, and Dominic, daughters, Giavana, Mary and Elizabeth (Chris); grandchildren, Kyrsten, Dominic, Patrick, Jordan, Dimetri, Jesse, Makayla, Briana, Marissa, Malayna, Natalee and Isaiah; mother, Elvera; brothers Ambroiso and wife Emma, Antonio and wife Angel; sisters, Sandra and husband Greg Lauer and Sonia and husband Ken Fields. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
