Raymond William Pircher Sr.

Raymond William Pircher, Sr., born January 13, 1919, was called home by the Lord on February 1, 2013 at the “grand old” age of 94. Raymond enlisted at the age of 21 in the U.S. Army retiring as MSgt after 23 years serving in both WWII and Korea. Staying involved with people gave him the incentive to go into the insurance business where he spent his next 25 years. He loved life and people and was always excited to have visitors during his stay in Aspen Ridge Assisted Living. A phone call was all he needed to make his day. He loved his church, his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his soul mate and loving wife, Ruby, of 65 years.

He is survived by his children, Rita Niemeyer (Dennis), Raymond Pircher, Jr. (Martha), Ruth Ann Neal (Ben) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 308 Mt Calvary, San Antonio, TX 78209. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
