Raymond C. Hernandez

Raymond C. Hernandez born January 23, 1920 entered into rest on April 10, 2013 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his wife Galdina Hernandez; son, Albert G. Hernandez and brother Joel Salazar. Mr. Hernandez is survived by his granddaughter Roxanna Hernandez; daughter-in-law Consuelo Hernandez; nephew and niece Joe and Elena Daniel; great nieces Margaret Daniel and Julia Daniel-Rocha; nephew Bernie Juttemeyer; nephew and niece Raymond and Alice Garcia; sister-in-law Martha Salazar; niece Sylvia Rodriguez and various nieces and nephews. Raymond was a World War II Veteran proudly serving his country and was a Purple Heart recipient. A special thank you to his caregivers and to the VA Hospital staff. Visitation will begin 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 for a 9:15 a.m. mass at St. Henry’s . Interment to follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please bring pictures of him they will be appreciated more.
