My Dearest Dad,
   There are so many memories of you that I will always treasure forever in my heart.I will make sure that your memory lives on in my daughter and grandchild.
   I remember when you went to my high school and college graduation. I also remember when you helped me buy my first car-a 1964 Chevy Nova. I remember the day that you walked me down the aisle and gave me away, and when you and Mom came by train to Wilmington to see your newly-born grandaughter,Tina.
   However, the best memory that I will always treasure is when you came to visit us in Albemarle, N.C.(out in the country). I prayed to the good Lord to grant me my wish that you would someday come see where we lived. You always talked about wanting to move out and live in the country. Once you got here, you loved it. You ate lots of peaches, went fishing,ate fried crappie and hush puppies, and simply relaxed and was treated like a king.
   A little girl always says that she wants to marry her daddy. I know that I did, because I married a man just like you. He loves the outdoors and trees(especially fruit ones). He's a hard worker just like you were, a good provider, a man who loves his family, and a jack of all trades, just like you Dad. 
   I owe so much of who I am to you saving my money for a rainy day, paying my bills on time, and always telling the truth. I know now that you are happy with Mom in heaven with our dear Lord. Please give her a big kiss for me, and tell her that "Yayita" loves and misses her.I will always love you with all my heart.

Good bye, Ito, we will miss you. I was proud to be your Honorable Pall Bearer, and get to hold your flag. That was very special to me. I promise to take care of your dog, Sombra. She has grown so much! Sombra, would like to say, "Master Raymond, I hope you are having a good time in Heaven. My new master, Spyro, is taking good care of me. He is making sure I am fed. Dad, my heart aches because I cannot talk to you hug you or kiss you. I miss you so very much !  I was dumb to think you would be here for me FOREVER.. God bless you and give Mom a kiss for me .  Love you forever and ever.

Dad,I don't even know where to begin.I Cannot tell you how much I enjoyed going to see you everyday while you were at Eden Hill.I want you to know I never once thought of it as a bother, even though you felt that way sometimes. I was just repaying you in my own way for everything you did for all of us for so long. In a way I am angry at you for leaving us, but that is just me being selfish. I know you were not happy and in pain. I hope you know how much I loved you dad. I have so many memories to last me forever. If I can somehow be half the father you were, I will consider myself a success. You will always be in my heart.

My deepest sympathies in the loss of your beloved Mr. Garcia to all his family.  May God grant you the strength to endure this loss.  I met Mr. Garcia while my mom Celia cared for him. He was an amazing person always with a story to tell.  He will be greatly missed.  Mr. Garcia it was a pleasure meeting you, It's not goodbye but until we meet again in our Lord's  presence.

Dear Garcia Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved.  There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.    

Although I did not have the honor and pleasure of knowing him, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.

His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy.  May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

Dad   ever sence the day i meet rosemary and started coming over to your house i have enjoyed hearing you talk about when you went into the army. I could sit outside with you all day and listen to you talk .I'll miss the times we spent togather. I was aways willing to help you with any thing because i learned  so much from you .I hope and pray that you and mom will always be watching over us.I owe the best part of my life to you and mom . We were very sorry to hear about your loss.Tio  Raymond was loved and admired by all who knew him. my fondness memory of him was when we would go to visit and he would take us to his garden that he so much loved to work on. Dear Raymond, My Father-In-Law:

I am so sorry we had to live so far apart all these years. I feel you and I had so much in common. I love my fruit trees, pecan trees, garden, and little woodworking shop. You and I discussed all these things so many times. I remember when you and Tina came to visit us in Wilimngton the first time. I was building a dog kennel and you helped me paint the dog houses. You showed me how to re-wire an electric motor. I was impressed, you were "Old School" and could do this from scratch. You even drew the instructions for me on a paper bag. I have loved your daughter "YaYa" since the first day her brown eyes and little round face melted my heart. I always wanted you to be proud of me just as if you were my dad. I hope you and Tina are now sitting in the shade with you in your white tee shirt and grey pants smoking your pipe, talking about all your children and grandchildren. There are no more bills to pay now. All your kids are fine. I wish you both peace and happiness. Maybe now you can go fishing.

Grandpa I will miss you.  I will always cherish the times I had with you eating bean tacos and watching spanish soap operas I couldn't understand.  I am also sorry that when I was five I took all the peaches off your tree and threw them against the house.  I will also always remember the day we played catch in the backyard.  You could still throw that ball pretty hard.  Rest In Peace grandpa and we'll see you again.
