I've been putting this off, maybe longer than I should have, because I thought this would get easier.  It hasn't.  
Raymond,
  You were one of the best friends I have ever had.  You always seemed to know what to say when I was struggling, and I only wish I could have been there for you.  My prayer go out to your family in this time of need.  May they always know that there are people out here if they need anything.

Raymond, I can't find the words to express the sadness I feel for your passing. I have known you for so long, and though we have grown apart in recent years, in distance and in contact, you have always held such a special place in my heart. I always thought that I would see you again, and wish that I had told you how much you mean to me. I love you, buddy.

I knew Raymond from our school years. Our parents are close friends. I didn't really know him too well, we didn't hang out in the same group, but I know that he was a great man.

About a year ago, I heard David McCullough say "There is no such thing as gone but not forgotten." There is no gone if he is remembered.  Raymond will remain in our memories forever and be celebrated with every glorious milestone of Ramie and Lola's.  Love to you all.
