

He was born in Jewett, Texas on March 4, 1920. He married the love of his life 67 years ago and was a committed and loving husband and father. He devoted his time to his family, the Boy Scouts of America, coaching, and his church through service as a trustee at Coker Methodist Church and Cemetery.
A World War II veteran, he landed at Omaha Beach, was attached to Patton's Third Army, and fought across Europe to include Bastonne and the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a hard-working, well-respected and gentle man. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Ray is survived by his wife, Marjorie Williams; sons, Jim Williams and wife, Pam; Jerry Williams and wife, Nancy; daughters, Natalie Leibold and husband, Eddie; Cindy Fortson and husband, Marc; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
