Ramona Sarate

Ramona A. Sarate, born January 8, 1925, went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2015, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband Margarito H. Sarate, brother; Paul and Jesus Arriaga, and sister; Carmen Saenz. She is survived by her children; Josie A. Short and Jessie Medina, siblings; Josie Rabago and Jose Arriaga, as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ramona Lived her life to the fullest, was loved by so many, and will be dearly missed and be forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Roy Akers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 with a funeral procession departing the funeral home at 8:30 am, a rosary will be recited at 9:00 am, followed by the funeral mass at 9:30 am at St. Gerard Catholic Church followed by a committal service at 11:00 am at Fort Sam Houston Nation Cemetery.
