Ramiro V. Lopez

Ramiro V. Lopez was called home to be with the Lord, on March 15, 2014 at the age of 92. He proudly served in WWII, 7th Cavalry, in the South Pacific. Mr. Lopez retired from Kelly A.F.B. after 30 plus years of civil service. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Librada Lopez. Mr. Lopez is survived by his beloved children Larry (Dolores) Lopez, Lloyd (Anna) Lopez, Dennis (Debbie) Lopez, Alfred Lopez, Dalia (Bill) McKee. An avid gardener and handyman, “Popo”, was a model grandparent for his 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers Eva Uribe, Letty Bernal and Omar Gonzalez the nurses and staff at both Christus Santa Rosa and Vitas. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral Monday, March 24, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass to be celebrated at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church with entombment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
