Ramiro "Ram" Betancourt Gonzales passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 58. Born on February 26, 1963, he is preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Gonzales; and his brother, Daniel Canchola.
Ram is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Reid (John) and Victoria Gonzales; his granddaughters, Mia and Ella Reid; his mother, Belia Betancourt; his siblings, Henry B. Gonzales (Andrea), Gracie B. Gonzales, Michael B. Gonzales (Sigrid), and Diana Montemayor (Gilbert); and his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved him and will miss him greatly.
Ram graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1981. After graduating High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country. He spent the majority of his career as a CAD draftsman working for various architectural firms. He was a computer geek and could fix anything IT related. He loved to laugh, loved music, loved nature, loved gaming, loved riding his motorcycle, and above all he loved his family. He will be in our hearts forever.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home will be limited to only 50 guests in the building.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 27 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass will take place on Thursday, October, 28 at 10:00 AM at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church - 1147 Cupples Road 78226 - and the Burial will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery - 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road 78209 - at 2:15 PM at Shelter #2.
