Ralph Michael Hollar, passed away at the age of 62, on June 5, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. Ralph, known as “Mike” to many, was born on January 2, 1962 in Covington, Kentucky. Mike, a retired San Antonio Police Department detective dedicated his life to serving his community with honor and integrity. During his distinguished career, Mike was honored with the Purple Heart and received numerous accolades for his service in the U.S. Air Force. He dedicated his life to serving his community and country with honor and bravery. In his retirement, he found joy in fishing, hunting, and camping by the lake.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Tammy Hollar; daughter, Nicole Conrad and her spouse Chase; grandson, Jackson Flores; mother, Rose Marie Hollar; sister, Gayle Hollar; brother, John Hollar and his spouse Robin; nephews, Christopher Hollar, his spouse Shannon, and their children Knox, Everly and Hadley; Nicholas Hollar, his spouse Ashley, and their son Jaxson, Evan Hollar, his spouse Emily, and Bently and Lucas; nieces, Mackenzie Durbin, her spouse Ryan, and their children Sadie and Aria, and Avery Hollar.
A graveside service will be celebrated at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209 on June 17, 2024 at 9:30 A.M. with U.S. Air Force military honors.
Mike believed in giving back to the community and was a regular donor to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
