Rachel is reunited in heaven with her mother Florence Peña, brother Joseph Peña, husband Paul B. Gomez, son Richard Gomez and numerous other family and friends.
Rachel is survived by her five living children Florence Gomez, Paul Gomez, Carlos Gomez (Martha), Emma Gomez (Robert), Lisa Gomez (George-deceased), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends.
Our mother/grandmother leaves behind a legacy of love and amazing memories. She played an immense role in the lives of our family and friends. Giving us the unconditional love we all needed, no matter what our flaws. She provided comfort, guidance, and unwavering support whenever it was needed. Her memory will live on through the stories and experiences we shared with her. Her impact on our family and friends lives cannot be overstated. She taught and showed us what a real woman and mother should be. We will never forget the valuable lessons about kindness, empathy, and resilience that continue to shape who we are today.
Memories go and memories fade, but memories of our mother/ grandmother never go away. Her smile rest in us. Her hands help us sew. Her love fills our hearts. Her spirit runs through our souls. In loving memory of our mother/grandmother the trunk of our tree. We will continue our lives as her legacy.
A visitation for Rachel will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary will occur Monday, April 1, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A chapel service will occur Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237.
