She is preceded in death by her parents, Fortunato and Librada Guajardo; her beloved husband, Leopoldo Cruz and her 18 siblings.
She is survived by her children, Dolores G. Cruz and Adam G. Cruz; grandchildren, Dezerraei M. Cruz, Frank R. Pedraza, Dominic A. Cruz, Cheyenne L. Martinez, Corina L. Martinez; great grandchildren, Evan A. Bravo, Miguel N. Bravo, Francisco C. Franco, Ayden R. Gonzales Nathan Lozano, and baby girl Cruz to be. Pilar is also survived by her numerous nephews and nieces and godchildren.
Pilar loved to garden, sew and cook for family gatherings. She was a jokester and a friend and godmother to many.
A visitation will be held on Monday , August 3, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Due to Covid 19 please keep condolences brief to allow others to pay respects, there will also be no reception following committal service according to the families wishes.
