Phil Tolbert, born October 3, 1947 in Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on July 20, 2017 at the age 69. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Lucile Tolbert. Phil is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol Tolbert; daughter Amber Tolbert; sister, Wanda Coward; brother, Bob Tolbert and his wife Jeri; mother-in-law Marjorie Cameron, as well as several nieces and nephews and their families. Phil graduated from Jefferson High School in 1966 and attended St. Mary’s University. He worked in the sign and insurance business before being led into the ministry where he developed a passion for discipleship and workplace ministry. Phil liked to hunt, fish and travel. But his heart belonged to his God, his family, BLE and those he discipled. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 starting at 9 am, with a memorial service to be held at 10:00 am.
