Peggy Ann (Morrison) Neff passed from this life February 17, 2018, at age 69 after a long struggle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her father and Mother, Donald and Zella Morrison and her younger sister Betty Martin, all of Dayton, Ohio. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmie Neff Jr; her children Leslie Kiper and Jeanne Brockwell of San Antonio and Jon Neff of Houston, Texas; her sister Shirley Rainwaters of Dayton, Ohio nieces Tracey Weidner, Samantha Gilmore and nephew Andrew Rainwaters; and 6 grandchildren: Ainsley and James, Byron and Molly, Eleanora and Amelia. God and her family were the most important things in Peggy’s life. She tried to never miss worship, and she taught her children and others about faith and hope by study and example. She encouraged her children’s education, and saw to it that they had opportunities to travel and learn about others. She loved to travel and the family made many long road trips to see the country and its history. She was able to realize a life-long wish when she and Jim toured Italy and England recently. Peggy loved the beach and would organize family weekends there whenever she could. She seemed most proud of her beautiful grandchildren and her biggest smiles were often for them. Trained as an executive secretary, Peggy worked as an administrative assistant most of her life, taking time out only to rear her children to school age. Even then, when they were in school she worked as a substitute and a teacher’s aide for learning disabled children both because of her love for others and her desire to be near her children in school. She held several high-level administrative positions as the family moved from place to place and retired as an Administrative Assistant for the Chemistry Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio where she worked 14 years. Peggy was a devout Christian, a member of the Grissom Road Church of Christ. A force of nature, she was friend and helper to all she met. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. That is especially true of her husband of 48 years, 7 months to whom she was best friend, constant companion, helper, encourager, partner in labors of love and rock of the family.
