Pedro "Pete" G. Hernandez Jr.

Pedro Garza Hernandez, Jr. “Pete”, 79, of McFaddin, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2017. Pete was born on July 24, 1937 to Pedro and Gabriela Hernandez. He was a graduate of St. Mary's University, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a man of all trades who loved to fix things. He had a green thumb and was an excellent planter. He is survived by Annie his loving wife of 19 years; sons: Roger, Martin, and Jonathan; daughters, Gina, Jennifer, Valerie, and Janie; brothers, Bartolo, Sylvestre, and Enrique; sisters, Mary Julia, Ofelia, and Hermenia; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 10:30 am for an 11:00 am Mass of the Resurrection at St. Gabriel Catholic Church on Friday, May 5, 2017. Following the service, Pedro Garza Hernandez, Jr. “Pete” will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
