Pedro A. Gonzales

Pedro was born on March 3rd, 1915 to Pedro and Leonides Rocha Gonzales in San

Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Rudy, his wife of 63 years, (our mother), Febe (Febe Rendon Gonzales), sister Chata ( Josephina) Mandujano and brothers Rudy (Rudolfo) Gonzales, Amador Gonzales, Amadorcito Gonzales and Pablo Gonzales. He is survived by his sisters Licha (Elisa) Esquivel, Petra Perez, Maria de la Luz Gonzales, and Elida Gonzales. Dad is also survived by his five daughters and four sons; Pedro R (and Patsy Guerrero Gonzales - Mother of Children), Irene (and Rudolfo Gonzales, Late Father of Children; and Late Husband/Father Arturo R. Mesa), Eleanor ( Leonor) and Late Husband Bill Burke), Luis ( and Late Wife – Diana), Vangie (Evangelina) and Late Husband Ricardo Martinez), Rosie (Rosalinda) – and Husband Manual), Roberto (and Wife Lilian), Gilberto (and Wife Rosie), and Gloria (and Husband Fernando).His legacy includes twenty five (25) grandchildren, twenty nine (29 ) great grandchildren, and ten (10) great great grandchildren as well as a very large number of loving family members and friends. Dad worked tirelessly as a baker for all of his life, making bread for everyone, everyday. His humor and wit continuously made us laugh. His compassion for all was beyond comparison. He taught us to provide for our families and to care for all who are hungry and in need. He accepted everyone equally. His daily devotion and passion for the care of his wife, especially in her last years, was inspirational and Christ like. He prayed for all his children and their families, each by name, every night. Visitation will begin Friday, July 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Services and eulogy at 7:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road. A procession will depart the funeral home Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 9:30 a.m for a 10:00 a.m. service at El Buen Pastor Church, 2122 Colima St., San Antonio, Texas 78207.
