Pauline Doubrava, age 90, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, to Anna Claire (Dugas) Babb and Henry Babb. She lived most of her life in Port Arthur and had many careers, including chemical laboratory technician, medical technician and travel agent. She moved to San Antonio, Texas, in 2005, and she resided more recently at Mystic Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, where she made many friends. Pauline loved to cook, sew, dance, paint and tend her flower gardens in her earlier years. She was a very outgoing, social person and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and The Port Arthur Little Theatre. Pauline is survived by her life partner, George Doubrava; their daughter Lori Em Doubrava, husband Larry Smith and grandson Collin Smith; their daughter Sheri Doubrava Donald, husband Jeff Donald and granddaughters Emma and Sarah Donald; their son Gil Doubrava, grandson Jeremy Doubrava and granddaughter Jenny Doubrava; and her beloved cat, Mark. Among those who preceded her in death were her parents and her five siblings, Louis Babb, Allen Babb, Marjorie (Babb) Falcon, Aline (Babb) Lewis (her twin), and Annabelle (Babb) Haraway. The memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2014, 10 a.m., at Saint Francis Episcopal Church, 4242 Bluemel Road, San Antonio, Texas.
