Final words, thoughts and feelings…to whom it may concern:
My loving mother, Pauline (Polly) Crugnale was 93 years old at her time of passing December 12, 2023, to the Good Lord God whom blessed us with her. The cause of death was not as important as her cause for life. She loved my brother and I (she always called me her baby because I was the youngest)Thomas, and my big brother Ercolino Crugnale, Jr. with all her heart! She is survived by her beautiful and lovely grandchildren Elle and Ercoli. They too have been touched by the love and sincere joy that she brought to every occasion and role that she played in all of our lives, whether it was teaching you something new or how to enjoy the little things, she loved flowers and gardening, she loved to laugh and sing and dance, as well as how to behave when things were both good or even when it got a bit trying. Life isn’t perfect, however we overcame any obstacle with the love that my Mom and Dad that shined upon us all evenly, so it would be always be as perfect as it gets. You should know, Everybody loved Polly, she found it quite naturally easy to make friends and she could light up the room with her contagiously beautiful smile and brilliant blue eyes. She loved everyone, and was no stranger to anybody. She was a great wife to my dad, and a great sister to her siblings. I learned so much from my mother, as did my big brother, she taught us how to cook. She taught us how to put love into our efforts and our lives. She taught us to be forgiving and mindful of our heritage as well as our actions. She taught us how to care for animals, mostly dogs, she loved her pets as much as anything. She had a HUGE life by marrying my Italian father Ercolino, Sr…he had predeceased her in 2002, however he left a big mark in all of our lives as well, a military officer, Korean War vet, and Vietnam vet Bronze Star recipient, and an educator for 13 more years after his 27 years of military service, and also a heck of a chef and father and man that could do anything from finish of a bare cement walled basement into an entire beautiful living space in our new home in Aurora, Colorado…to making lasagne with my mother, and that was a family project! As a tight family, we accomplished together as a family. We had mountain property in Jefferson-Fairplay area in South Park, and we went camping and fishing quite frequently. My brother is a native Texan, having been born in El Paso, I was born in Nuremberg Germany, and their adventures started when they eloped from Hershey PA and he joined the US Army to travel the world together and made their family the priority. My mother was chief cook and bottle washer, she would tell you, but then again, she was so MUCH MORE! She had talent, played the keyboard, so did my father, they passed the love of music to my brother and myself, as we both have a lifetime of enjoyment with music!
My life growing up with two loving parents came with lessons of all types, and I am personally grateful for them all, I know the rest of my family feels the same way! She will be dearly missed, and her wisdom will always be with us all, do unto others, and always tell the truth.God and church are your home.
Blessing to all those who knew her, and feel her loss as we do. Amen. Rest in peace.
