A Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Paula Garcia, entered into rest on March 19, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born in Laredo, TX to the parents of Manuel and Eulalia Salazar. She was a homemaker, who was the eldest of all her siblings, and was always devoted to helping family. She was a counselor and confidant for family and friends. She was so loved and will truly be missed. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Cruz Rodriguez and second husband, Armando Garcia, 4 sisters: Consuelo Pena, Lamar Garza, Jovita Saucedo, and Ofelia Casiano; 1 brother: Esteban Salazar and 1 nephew: Victor Saucedo. She leaves to cherish 2 lovely daughters: Yolanda (Joe) Morales and Irma (Albert) Elizondo, 3 sisters: Mary Mullen, Mary Helen Pena, and Amelia Garza; 1 brother: Manuel Salazar Jr.; 4 grandchildren: Danny Silva, Javier (Tina) Silva, Monica (Marty) Trevino, Albert Elizondo, III. , 8 great-grandchildren: Little Marty, Madeline, Jackie, Sarah, George, Rueben, Veronica, Isabel (Ryan) and 3 great-great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Sebastian, Genesis, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.The family would like give a special thank you to the staff of Davita Dialysis Center, 7515 Barlite Rd. for their special support in serving Paula Garcia. The family would also like to thank Dr. Prakash Nancherla and Dr. Rebecca Olivares for their compassionate care. A very special thanks to her devoted goddaughter Andrea Mata, JR, Lisa and their sons for their assistance the past 3 years. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM that same evening. A Graveside Service will begin on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 12:00 noon at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
