Paul M. Moreno Sr.

Paul M. Moreno Sr., age 89, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Murphy Texas. He was a lifelong resident of San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on June 30, 1923 and was raised in Cotulla, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paulita and Refugio Moreno and his brothers and sisters. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II. He later worked at Jorrie’s and Karotkins Furniture Company and Zales Corporation, proudly serving the public. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Teresa (Sue) Moreno; children, Evelyn Massiatte (Carlos), Paul M. Moreno Jr. (Kathy), and David Moreno; grandsons, Michael Massiatte (Rebecca), Daniel Moreno (Karina), Charles Massiatte (Mary Helen), Christopher Moreno and Michael Moreno; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Micah, Yanesia, and Kaziya. Paul’s gentle nature and peaceful work ethics will continue through his children and grandchildren. Paul enjoyed his weekly visits with his coffee buddies at McDonalds. He will be missed by his loving family and friends. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, December 28, 2012 for a 10:00 A.M. mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Road. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Army Military Honors.
