Paul Wade Barnette

It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul Barnette on August 29, 2023. Paul was born into this world on February 19, 1958. A man of immense kindness, caring nature, and a sense of humor that could light up any room, his presence will be deeply missed.

Paul enjoyed many things in life, with a particular affinity for the blues and old country music, which would often be playing in the background of his home. A fan of classic western movies, an evening in with a John Wayne film would be his idea of a perfect night. His allegiance to his favorite sports team, the Dallas Cowboys, was unwavering and he spent many joyful hours watching their games.

Paul's love for the great outdoors was evident in his favorite recreational activities. He found peace while fishing, often watched the sun rise and set from a campground, and he treasured the tranquility that came from being so close to nature.

He is survived by his two children, Cassandra and Cole Barnette, and his beloved step-daughter, Amanda Samaniego. His love for his family was endless, and his memories will continue to live on through them.

A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home on October 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM. His family welcomes all who knew Paul to join them as they remember a kind, caring man whose laughter and love will never be forgotten.

May his spirit of joy continue to spread even in his absence.
