We rejoice in the homecoming of Patrick Frances Sitterle! Born on March 14, 1923, in Victoria, TX to Sylvan and Emma Sitterle and died on May 2, 2014. He uplifted those around him with his friendly ways and his sunny smile. He served his country during WWII. An avid athlete, his favorite activity was playing baseball. He loved to tell stories about riding his jalopy with friends and going from base to base playing ball.
Later on, he married Betty Jo Purdy and moved to Houston. He and Betty Jo enjoyed 50 years together. They raised their son, Scott Sitterle, to enjoy every day as a gift. His family was always a high priority for him. They were active in Bellaire Christian Church of the Disciples of Christ. Later, in Canyon Lake, he was a member of the Canyon Lake United Methodist church. He loved all things UH and was a huge Cougars fan!
He is predeceased by his parents, his beloved sister Bertha Sitterle, and his nephew Sam Sitterle. Those who will miss him are his wife, Betty Jo, his son, Scott Sitterle and wife Gloria, his grandsons, Philip and Clifton, his nephews, Frank Sitterle and Dan Sitterle and their families.
