Patrick Monarch Davis

Patrick Monarch Davis, age 83 of Dawson, Texas passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Patrick was born June 8, 1934 in Helotes, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Patrick retired from the railroad after 44 years between Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific Railways.

Patrick is preceded in death by his parents Laura Monarch and Robert Davis, mother-in-law Florence Cassidy along with his 6 siblings.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 61 years Janet Davis and their children June and Richard Fife, Rick Davis, Brenda and Buster Horn, Dawn and Craig Murski, Susan and Ed Mills, Branden and Sarah Davis, and Liberty Davis along with sister Dee Rogers and sister in law Marilyn Karrer, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces, family and friends.

He had a love for cooking, story telling, special songs and a strong family bound. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he touched.

A visitation for Patrick will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A committal service will occur at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209 at a later date.
