On January 29, 2017, Pat Rolston Carroll, Our Dear Father, Twin, Brother, Poppy, Cousin and Friend, returned home to the open arms of loved ones passed and our Lord. Pat was a native San Antonian, born Oct. 22, 1953, a few minutes before his Twin Brother, Mike.
He graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 1972. Shortly after, he joined the US Air Force where he served in various fields until he found his niche: Basic Military Training Instructor for new enlistees. For many years after his honorable discharge as a Master Sergeant, he would still be in contact with many of the Lackland AFB recruits that he had helped guide into men.
While stationed in Hawaii, he married his High School Sweetheart, Julianne Harmer. Together they had their greatest heart-achievement, their Son, Shawn Patrick Carroll. He proudly watched as his son grew into a successful businessman and loving Father.
Later, and until the end of life, Pat took on the challenge of learning, practicing and mastering a new career; Physical Therapy. While travelling throughout Texas and New Mexico, he devoted himself to providing rehabilitation and confidence building within various communities, including Veterans, seniors, and children.
Pat touched, influenced and helped many people in his life and he will be missed. Especially by his precious grandchildren who lovingly called him Poppy.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Pat Dan Carroll; Mother, Dorothy Shaw Carroll; his Brother, Harry Glenn Carroll; and his Wife, Julianne Harmer. Pat leaves behind his Son, Shawn Patrick (wife Lisa), Twin Brother Mike, Sister Cindy Carroll, Niece Heather C. Moeller, his treasured Grandchildren, Blake Patrick, Rylee Payton, Leighton Thomas, Madelyn Grace, and many cherished Cousins and Friends.
