Affectionately known as “Omie” and “Mimi,” Pat passed away peacefully on October 13th at age 88. Born in Omaha Nebraska, Pat came from modest means but lived a rich and full life. As the original “party” girl, Pat knew how to have a good time and enjoyed music, dancing, and gambling as well as the simple pleasures of being in the country and spending time with friends and family. Pat served her country as a proud military wife who lived abroad in Germany, as well as in the states, including California, Washington, North Carolina, Florida and Virginia, but her heart always belonged in Texas. Pat was a longtime resident of San Antonio and had fond memories of living in Dallas and ranching in Yantis. Never idle, Pat’s work ethic is renown. In addition to keeping an immaculate home and raising a large family, Pat worked in property management and customer service and was employed well into her 70’s.
Widow of Daniel M. Williams, Pat is survived by a large extended loving family including her daughter NZ Carol and sons Jack, Mark, and Bruce Tossman, and grandchildren, Gina Yarbrough, Lori Fowler, and Austin Muse.
Pat leaves an inspirational legacy and there will never be another woman like her. We are all grateful to have known and be loved by her. We will miss our “Yellow Rose of Texas.”
On Thursday October 22nd, the viewing will be at noon at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio TX 78218. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. graveside at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio TX 78209.
The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care Pat received at the end of her life from the staff of Shady Hollow Assisted Living. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat’s honor to Wounded Warriors.
