Pamela Joan White of San Antonio, Texas died on June 6, 2021. She was born on December 21, 1945 in New London, Connecticut, the daughter of David and Barbara Lawrence. She graduated Jackman High School in Jackman, Maine and the Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in Lewiston, Maine.
In 1993 she received her Masters in Nursing from the University of Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. She entered the Air Force in 1974 and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1994. During her military career she served as a general duty nurse, a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Manager, and Deputy Chief of Nursing Services in Critical Care and Medicine. Her service medals included the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, Commendation medal, the Achievement Medal.
Following her retirement from the Air Force she worked for the Methodist HealthCare System for 12 years and for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System for 3 years until she retired in 2011.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 31 years, Robert Miles White, her parents David and Barbara Lawrence of Manchester, Maine and her beloved dog Freddie.
She is survived by her brother Stuart P. Lawrence and his wife Jennifer of Manchester, Maine, her brother David E. Lawrence and his wife Sandra of Westbrook, Maine, her niece Jenna Lawrence of Manchester, Maine, her niece Mindy Frost of Mechanic Falls, Maine, her niece Angela Christopher of Gardner, Maine, her nieces Emily and Katie Collins of Gardner, Maine and her nephews Adam Lawrence of Waterville, Maine and Justin Lawrence of Augusta, Maine and her beloved dog Jonah. Pamela did not wish to have a ceremony, but requested that she and Bob be remembered with laughter and happy memories of the time they spent with their friends and family.
