After this, he started working at Southwest ISD Transportation Department as a diesel mechanic for 8 years. He continued his journey and was hired at John Deere where he worked for 3 years and ended his career at HOLT CAT where he became a master diesel mechanic. Ozzie was a friendly person who enjoyed getting to know his co-workers at the companies he worked for and because of the kind and helpful hand he always provided, he made many lasting friendships. His customers had confidence that if he was working on their vehicle or heavy equipment, they would be able to count on Ozzie to fix it and for it to last.
Ozzie was a dedicated and loving dad who raised his three children. He was a very proud and loving grandpa who loved spending time with his grandkids. He would love teaching his grandkids many life skills, going to their games, and would teach his grandkids how to fish. He was also a father and grandfather figure to others and was always willing to provide guidance and support to those who came into his life.
Ever since Ozzie could drive he owned a motorcycle. He enjoyed riding his different Harley’s and would travel with his family and friends to a variety of events. His family was everything to him. He would spend hours rebuilding motorcycles with his son and daughter, go on family trips to the coast, and would like to have traditional family barbecues very often.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by the everlasting memories he left with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).
His children would like to thank their family and friends for their words of sympathy, your gesture of caring, and the love you offer them during this time.
