Oscar Z. Gonzalez

Oscar Z. Gonzalez entered into the loving arms of our Lord on September 13, 2022 at the tender age of 90. Oscar was born on December 19, 1931 in Mexico to Antonia Zamora and Jesus Gonzalez Santos, he was the second oldest of five.

Oscar met Hortensia Garza while still living in Mexico, they were neighbors and got married in 1959. He later moved to San Antonio, Texas to be closer to family and to provide for his family. Oscar had a strong work ethic and was very responsible. If his family needed something, you could be sure Oscar would work hard to accomplish the goal. He was a master of all trades, nothing was too hard to at least try. He took pleasure in woodworking and people he knew would enjoy his hard work.

Oscar will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Antonia and Jesus Gonzalez; daughter, Maria G. Gonzalez; and brothers, Luis Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez and Juan Gonzalez.

Oscar’s memory will forever be remembered by his loving wife of 63 years, Hortensia G. Gonzalez; daughters, Norma G. Gamez, and Christine G. Aguilera (Matias). Grandchildren, Monica, Matthew, Michael and Marissa; great-grandchildren, Analeigh, Aerin, and Avery; and sister, Maria Machado.
