Olga Garza, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was born on August 21, 1936 and went to be with our Lord on October 20, 2011 at the age of 75. Olga graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1954 and worked for a short of time at Fort Sam Houston where she was honored as Princess of Fort Sam Houston Military Base at the Battle of Flowers parade. She worked at Kelly Air Force Base; a year afterwards she married her lovely husband in 1961 and raised a family. Olga was room-mother for all of her children at St. Luke’s Catholic School. Her joys were reading and playing cards with relatives and friends. She recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary. She was a loving wife and supportive parent and will be missed dearly. Olga was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Celia Dominguez. She is survived by her loving husband, Luis R. Garza; children, Luis R. Garza Jr., Oscar Garza, and Leticia Garza Rodriguez; grandchildren, Victoria Lynn Garza, Jacquelyn Rodriguez, and Luis Robert Garza; sisters, Esther Campos and husband Frank, Celia Alderete and husband Frank; brother, Samuel Dominguez and wife Blanca; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke’s Catholic School, 4603 Manitou, San Antonio, TX 78228. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
