Ofelia G. Rodriguez

Ofelia G Rodriguez, age 61, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Ofelia was born February 3, 1961 in San Antonio, Texas to Catalina and Fred Gonzales. Ofelia graduated from Luther Burbank High School in 1980 and would later retire from VIA Metropolitan Transit with 15 years of service as an Operator. She was an avid church parishioner at St. Monica Catholic Church and was a member of the Guadalupanas.

Ofelia is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Victor Javier Gonzales. She is survived by her husband, George I. Rodriguez; her brother, Robert Gonzales (Sofia); her sister, Paula Bowen; her sons Mario Anthony James Casillas (Elena) and Matthew John Paul Casillas; her granddaughters Absidy-Marie Casillas, Addison-Miley Casillas, and Harper Heaven Grace Casillas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas. A funeral procession will depart the following morning, Friday, July 8, 2022, at 9:15 AM from Roy Akers Funeral Home to go St. Monica Catholic Church for mass at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow at San Fernando #3 Cemetery, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, Texas.
