Nora Rodriguez Flores passed to a greater life Saturday, May 30, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 68. She was born in San Diego, Texas on May 5, 1952 to her parents, the late Norberto Rodriguez and Herminia Benavides Rodriguez. Nora was the descendent of Isidro and Placido Benavides, Founders of Benavides, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Flores; her sisters, Minerva and Yolanda Rodriguez; and her brother, Xector Rodriguez.
She was a ray of light and devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Nora leaves her memory to her children, Natalie Cantu (Larry), Carolyn Trevino, Mary Flores, Francisca “Ali” Reyes (Jesse), and David Flores; her grandchildren, Larry, Nathan, Elijah, Ciro, Leann, Chasity, Brooklyn, Amaris, Adrianna, Ava, Jesse, Madison, Jude and Halie; her great-grandchild, Noah; her siblings, Julio Rodriguez and Francisca Pena; and her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who all loved her.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation for Nora at Funeraria del Angel Trevino – 2525 Palo Alto Rd. 78211 – will be limited to only 40 people in the building at a time. There will be a public visitation on Thursday, June 4 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM for brief visits with the family. The Chapel Service will take place on Friday, June 5 at 5:30 PM, with visiting hours between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM. If the building is at its capacity, you will be asked to wait in your vehicle until a space opens. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times.
