Our beloved mom and grandma, Ninfa C. Garza born on November 23, 1912 in Spofford,TX went to be with the Lord on Monday July 2, 2012 at the age of 99 years and 7 months. She is preceded in death by her mom and dad, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, son, Albert Garcia, son-in-law Richard V. Guerra, grandsons, Richard (Sugar) and Robert Guerra. She is survived by her daughter Rosie G. Guerra; granddaughter, Roxanne and grandson Rudy and wife, Melissa Guerra; great grandchildren, Francine, Joshua, and Jared Guerra, Jewels Guerra-Reyes and Anthony Reyes; one beautiful great great granddaughter, Leandra Faith Guerra-Reyes and numerous friends and relatives. Grandma was a wonderful caregiver to the handicapped adults at Mission Rd. Being a foster grandparent for 20 years, she retired at the age of 90. She also worked at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio for 20 years as a hostess. She enjoyed talking to people, making friends and being a second mom to many. She always gave the bus drivers a taquito and they willingly waited for her when they saw her coming. She loved sewing, gardening, especially dancing and watching novelas. We are very thankful for all the good people and angels that came into our lives. She was bedridden for 1 year 8months and under Odyssey Hospice. She was a happy person. She blessed everyone that came to service her. She insisted for them to lower their heads to get her blessings. Even Chaplain Albert obliged with loving care. Our sincere thanks to Socorro Garcia and Jessica Michelle Sanchez, the beautiful providers. My sisters in Christ, your patience and love kept her happy. Thank you to my Apostolado De La Cruz, sisters and brothers for their love and prayers. My second family from Christ the King. You are the sisters and brothers that I didn’t have until I adopted you as my family—I was an only child. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday July 8, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Monday July 9, 2012 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery NO. 2.
